The primary livelihood of the Municipality of Ivisan is "fishing". Ivisan also one of the municipality here in Capiz that produces sea foods. Fresh fishes and different sea shells were gathered in the sea and some cages of some private citizens.

FARMING

Ivisanon also survive through farming. Different land crops were also produced here. Rice farming is the most common to do by most of the farmers. They usually used the gadget that the new technology discovered.  Some Ivisanon also raise some hog animals in their backyards, which can help them in times of circumstances.   The municipality of Ivisan developed by its own people. The municipal officers were both cooperative to develop the cleanliness and the beautiful view of the said municipality.

Municipality of Ivisan is one municipalities in Capiz that is active in saving Mother Earth. Last 2008, Ivisan won as First Runner-up in Category B in the 2008 Excellence in Local Governance (EXCEL) Award – Provincial Level. This ceremony was held last November 27-28, 2008 in the Province of Capiz. And Ivisan also received an award for being a Second Runner-up in the “Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran”
